Eric Wagner (?): Female Nudes (Intaglio Prints)

*
This series of intaglio print studies of  female models (two nude and two clothed) popped up on one of the European eBay auction sites last week. The artist is listed as Eric Wagner (?). Unfortunately, I could find no biographic information on the artist but they do date from the first quarter of the 20th century. Very nicely executed figural studies in my favorite medium, the print.

Unknown European School: Nude Boy Reclining (Ca. 1900)

*
An auction house in Germany has listed this nice study of a nude boy in their current catalog. Unfortunately the artist is unknown because the signature is illegible. You have to laugh at an artist who has such control over his color palette yet can't sign a painting in a way to preserve his identity for posterity. A close inspection of the surface indicates it is in dire need of some preservation expertise. Still a nice painting. It dates from around 1900.
