I have managed to acquire three very nice 18th to 19th century sculptures of the Corpus Christi figure from European sources, one nearly complete museum quality corpus in ox bone (directly below), one in ivory,(second listing below), and one, slightly damaged with a missing limb, also in ox bone (last illustrations). The ability of these unknown 18th-19th century artisans/craftsmen (they were not considered artists) who created these beautiful sculptural representations of the male form on such a small scale just takes my breath away.
