Several months ago I posted an addition to my collection of a bronze of a nude adolescent boy by the Monogamist "P.S.S." dated 1914. At the time I purchased the bronze of that young boy the same Antiques dealer in the UK listed a beautiful little Art Deco bronze of a young girl by the Italian artist Giovanni Franzosi, dated 1933. I kept the image of that beautiful little bronze work stored away in my mind and yesterday I searched for it on eBay UK and found it. I contacted the seller and we negotiated a price and I am happy to say she is now on her way into my collection. Unfortunately, I could not find a smidgen of information on the artist but her classic 1930's Art Deco style is quite evident in that hairstyle and that contraposito stance. She is pure Art Deco. When she arrives I will clean her up and apply a liberal coat of "Renaissance Brand Micro-crystalline Wax," which is highly recommended for the preservation of art bronzes and she will dance and shine ...... and again take her place next to her little brother. Enjoy:
